Ghost Hunt
Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends--that is, until she meets 17 year-old Kazuya Shibuya, the man sent by Shibuya Psychic Research Center to investigate paranormal activity at a supposedly haunted school. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya's assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya demands that Mai become his assistant, instead...

Elfen Lied

The Diclonius, a mutated homo sapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possesses two horns in their heads, and has a "sixth sense" which gives it telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murder most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives and manages to drift along to a beach, where two teenagers named Kouta and Yuka discovers her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet...
Blood +
Throughout the passage of time and the shifts in backgrounds, a particular war continues to leave its mark on history, extending its influence into the modern world. There are two major groups involved in the ensuring war. The first group consists of monsters known as Chiropterans who can change their appearances into that of human beings. They are actually immortals who feed on the blood of the living. The second group is an organisation known as the "Red Shield", formed to track down these monsters and exterminate them. Otonashi Saya is a high-school girl who lives a peaceful life with her family. The only problem is, she has no recollections of her life beyond that of the past year. However, her happy life will be destroyed by an event that will lead her to her destined fate.

This is the first screening by the 2010 committee, we hope it'll be a fun one  Evil

Hmmm, was hoping for a more exciting and interesting screening (like maybe Ghost Hound or Moryou no Hako), but pizza and good company will have to make up for that.

problem with those shows is that they aren't really the horror kind of anime, or least their first eps aren't, and it seems thats what this screening is leaning towards.
its still a good selection, should be fun

Still, I skimmed through the first two episodes of Ghost Hunt and it looked like nothing happens. Honestly, it looked really boring. And while Elfen Lied is fun -- urgh, watched it a million times already.

Don't be petty, haku.

I have an opinion, I'm obliged to express it as a member of the society.

Sigh.  I'm not going to argue with you on the forum.  I hope people enjoy the anime, despite these discouraging comments.

How come we weren't given a list of animes to pick from, like the previous screenings?

The new exec committee chooses the anime that will be shown at their first screening. It's become a bit of a tradition in the past two years.

Why's it so close to exams? Although I guess it wouldn't be a halloween screening if it wasn't then.. Dunno if I'll be able to make it but I'll try. Is Blood+ connected to the movie which came out recently?
