What no Samurai Deeper? :-P

Seriously, I'd liek to vote for Le Chevalier d'Eon as I haven't seen it but Kenshin OAV is one of the greatest cinematic masterpieces of all time and deserves to be watched by many as possible IMHO

Gome heat-kun.About Kyo hope you won't take it personal - but none of the A[D] members  incl. myself particularly liked it and also none of us have it in HQ so we wouldn't be able to screen it even if we wanted to or there was an outcry from society members for it to be shown.

The Kenshin OVA is indeed a masterpiece Smiley and a must-see but I'm very, very biased in anything involving Himumra Kenshin! Almost put it as my favourite in your "Favourite Anime (follow the rules)" thread but I couldn't get myself to betray other favourites Sad Don't you want to change (read her remove) the rules of the thread? Wink

rules are rules - but if we had a "kenshin-clone" themed screening I could always organise HQ SDK

a "kenshin-clone"

That's precisely the reason why I was against screening Samurai Deeper Kyo...

being careful not to take this thread OT, I'll admit it's a clone, but it's done so well dammit! I luuurv it. Also if you're familiar with some Japanese history, it provides an interesting "alternative"

I think the most 'historical' anime i have ever seen is called Bakumatsu Kikan Setsu: Irohanihoheto it includes names of almost everyone involved in the Edo handover, in the Final Tokugawa era. It is insane, it includes a vit of historical legend/fantasy added in, quite the story actually.

The Age of Dreams

i know that the kenshin OVA's are really incredible, but what is the point of screening something that most people have already seen.  Could people try to keep that in mind and rather vote for new or less prestigious anime rather than simply what they think is the best.

But watching it again serves as "appreciation" no?

Your complaint is noted but the point of the poll is to ensure we select what "most people" want to see and so far it's Kenshin
